PlayStation is kicking off the year in a big way. Sony has officially announced a brand-new State of Play broadcast, airing this week and promising more than 60 minutes of news, gameplay updates, and announcements from studios across the globe.

The February State of Play will place a heavy spotlight on third-party and indie titles coming to PlayStation 5, alongside fresh updates from teams within PlayStation Studios. While Sony hasn’t teased specific games, the extended runtime suggests this won’t be a quick check-in it’s shaping up to be one of the longer State of Play events we’ve seen in recent memory.

The broadcast will stream live on YouTube and Twitch, presented in English with Japanese subtitles available.

State of Play – Global & Australian Start Times

The presentation airs at the following times:

Australia

  • AEDT (NSW, VIC, TAS, ACT): February 13 – 9:00 AM
  • AEST (QLD): February 13 – 8:00 AM
  • ACST (SA, NT): February 13 – 7:30 AM
  • AWST (WA): February 13 – 6:00 AM

Sony says the show will feature “eye-catching” upcoming releases, with a mix of new announcements and deeper looks at already revealed projects. As always, expectations should be tempered, but a 60-plus-minute runtime leaves plenty of room for surprises especially for fans keeping an eye on PS5’s third-party and indie pipeline for 2026 and beyond.

PlayStation will be going live this Friday. Coffee recommended for early risers.
